How To Have A Perfect Lawn Sprayers - Grass is a highlight of any beautiful yard. Grass provides a place for adults to hang out, children to play in and for family pets to enjoy the summer sunshine.
Healthy, green grass will make your outdoor environment vibrant, but how do you do it right? How do you get that perfectly lush grass? From creating your lawn to caring for or repairing it, we have included our best tips for a perfect lawn below.
Consider the layout of your garden
Before you start working on your lawn, you need to think carefully about the layout of your garden. Start by looking at the size and shape of your garden. Which places do you usually use the most, and which places do you get the most sunshine? Next, think about who uses your garden, and what you actually use your garden for. If you have children or pets, full grass is best to allow more space to run and play. If you are having regular BBQs or garden parties, a patio and lawn combo may be a better option.
Decide which is best for your garden - sod or seed?
When it comes to the creation of your lawn, there are two options to choose from: sod or seed. There are benefits to both. Grass seeds provide a natural looking grass and are easy to use in small areas. Lawn sod, on the other hand, gives you a more instant lawn but will require regular care and watering in the first few months.
Prepare your lawn neatly
Whether you are planting seeds or laying turf, the preparation of your lawn will be the same. Start by removing any stones, weeds and debris from the area. Once the area has been cleared, turn the soil with a garden fork to loosen and rotate the ground. Next, use a rake to level the soil. After the ground is prepared, you can begin spreading your grass seeds or placing your sod. Once the grass has been planted, laid out, watered and grown you can start with your regular lawn care.

Feed your lawn
When it comes to feeding your lawn, a seasonal approach is best. Be prepared to feed your grass with fertilizer in spring, summer and autumn to get healthy grass all year round. The spring treatment should take place around April when the weather starts to warm up and you have already cut the grass a few times. Summer treatment can also vary but is usually recommended about ten to fourteen weeks after your spring feed. Avoid summer treatment on any days when the weather is very dry. Autumn treatment should take place in September. As a general rule throughout the year, you should apply the fertilizer directly after cutting the grass. This means that your fertilizer has a lot of time to settle on your lawn, and is not affected by the next cut.
Weed your grass
Weeds not only look terrible but they also cause damage to your garden, as they compete with the existing grass for growing room and nutrients. Regular maintenance, spraying, pruning and ventilation in your garden will help keep your grass healthy and leave you with stronger grass which will make it more difficult for weeds to compete.
You will need to identify weeds, and make sure you browse the selection of herbicides to find the right one for your garden and condition. Remember that:
• You should apply your herbicide in spring and summer, when the grass is overgrown.
• Do not apply any herbicides during the first six months of seeding or sod planting - this can damage your new grass and prevent healthy growth.
Water Your Lawn
If you want to maintain a vibrant green lawn you are going to have to water it regularly. If your grass reaches below a certain point of humidity, your grass will enter a dormant state, where it may lose its color and won’t begin to grow again until after rainfall. Because of this, it is best to make sure you water it regularly.
The best time to water your lawn is in the morning. Avoid watering in the evening – water will stick to the leaves of the grass overnight, which can lead to pests and mildew. If you're living in an area with hard soil, you may want to change your routine and try watering in stages – try watering for 30 minutes, leave it to soak, then water for another 30 minutes.
Aerate Your Lawn
Soil that is hard or too compacted will not absorb water properly and can block oxygen from reaching seeds or plant roots.
Under these circumstances, you will need to aerate your lawn. Aerating involves using a machine to make a number of small holes in your soil. These holes will loosen the soil, and allow moisture, oxygen, and nutrients to travel beyond the surface.
Mow Your Lawn
Spring and summer are when your grass is at its heaviest and strongest, so it will need the most maintenance during these months. Growth will begin in the spring, and this is when your regular mowing maintenance routine should begin. Here are some general rules for mowing:
â—Ź You can start cutting dry grass with a high cut in March.
â—Ź Temperatures will rise in April, aim to mow at least once every 2 weeks.
â—Ź In May and June you should mow your lawn more frequently. Aim for once or twice a week.
â—Ź July and August are dry months, so grass growth will actually slow down. In dry weather, you should mow once a week.
â—Ź Continue mowing every will until October. At the end of the summer, you can extend the cut.
â—Ź November will likely be the last regular cut of the year - use this as an opportunity to clear any autumn leaves before winter.
● During the winter, if you don’t get snow and frost you can mow when needed to keep on top of your lawn maintenance. Keep your mower on the high setting, and never mow your Lawn Sprayers in frosty conditions.
Protect Your Lawn
In order to keep your grass healthy, regular maintenance in the form of watering, weeding, mowing and feeding will ensure that your grass is strong, and in a better condition to protect itself from damage. If you follow these tips you should be able to keep your lawn looking its best at all times.
